Consultant in Industrial Risk Management and HSE (Safety, Environment and Health) for over 45 years. Senior Consultant and AIChE/CCPS accredited instructor (Center for Chemical Process Safety - https://www.aiche.org/ccps) for the Risk-Based Process Safety Course (FRBPS). He is one of the coordinators of the Pipeline Risk Community Meetings – a partnership between CCPS and IBP. He worked for more than 35 years at PETROBRAS, having been, among others, Corporate Safety Manager and Corporate Coordinator for the implementation of the Safety, Environment and Health Guidelines.
He worked for 36 years at Petrobras, where he implemented Reliability and Asset Management methodologies at the technical, managerial, and executive levels. At Petrobras, he served as General Manager of 5 Refineries in Brazil, 1 Exploration and Production Business Unit, 1 corporate area of Asset Management and Operational Excellence. Certified Fellow in Asset Management (CFAM) by the Australian Asset Management Council in 2013 and CAMA in 2014 by WPiAM/ABRAMAN.
